MEME500
The flagship index of MemeRock Asset Management. A capped, rules-based basket of memecoins native to Robinhood Chain, tracked by the $MROCK token.
01 — Index objective
The MEME500 seeks to represent the performance of the memecoin segment of Robinhood Chain. It does so by holding a capped-weight basket of eligible constituents, acquired on the open market by the Index Treasury each epoch and reconstituted monthly. The index does not attempt to select outperformers. It attempts to be the meta.
The number 500 is aspirational. The index will hold as many eligible constituents as the universe supports, which at launch is materially fewer than five hundred.

04 — Rebalancing policy
4.1 — Rebalance Day. The index is reconstituted monthly on a fixed calendar day published at launch. Between Rebalance Days, weights drift with market movement and are not corrected.
4.2 — Staker vote. From Phase II, constituent additions and removals are proposed by the index committee and ratified by $MROCK stakers. Until Phase II, the committee acts alone and publishes its reasoning.
4.3 — Announcements. Additions, removals and weight changes are published as index announcements at least five days before Rebalance Day, in the manner of a conventional index provider.
4.4 — Cap enforcement. On each Rebalance Day any constituent above 30% is capped and the excess redistributed pro-rata to the remaining constituents.
4.5 — Emergency removal. A constituent whose liquidity collapses or whose contract exhibits rug behaviour is removed immediately, outside the monthly cycle. The treasury does not attempt to sell into a collapsed pool.
05 — Epoch schedule
